I’ve teamed up with the talented folks at LIV as a contract XR SDK Engineer, and I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re building together.
What LIV does
LIV is all about making XR content creation accessible and awesome. Their tech powers capture solutions for some of the biggest VR games out there:
- Mixed Reality Capture: LIV’s SDK lets players film themselves inside their VR games. You may have seen it in action when Simu Liu played Beat Saber on The Tonight Show, which was powered by LIV tech.
- LIV Creator Kit: Released in October 2024, LCK gives developers in-game capture tools like the LCK tablet, already available in massively popular titles like Gorilla Tag. Check out this showreel to see it in action.
What I’ll be doing
I’m working with LIV’s XR team on developing and improving their SDKs for XR capture. That means building the tools that game developers integrate into their titles and that players use to create content, bridging the gap between playing a game and sharing that experience with the world.
Why I’m excited
As a lifelong gamer and someone who likes to build game projects myself, working in the gaming industry feels like exactly where I should be. XR content creation is still a rapidly evolving space, and LIV is at the forefront of it. I’m eager to make my own impact in helping to shape where it goes next.
